Job Context:
∎ The Officer, Job Placement plays a crucial role in the implementation of the USAID`s Bangladesh Integrated Youth Activity (BIYA) Project at UCEP Bangladesh. The officer will be responsible for conducting career guidance sessions, supporting trainee enrollment, updating employment data, establishing industry linkages, and organizing events to ensure the successful employment of UCEP graduates.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Career Guidance and Enrollment Support:
∎ Conduct career guidance sessions for potential trainees, utilizing the provided career guidance module.
∎ Assist and support potential trainees in the enrollment process, providing them with necessary information and guidance.
∎ Ensure accurate and timely updates of employment data in the students' database, Training Management System (TMS), and Job Portal, ensuring data quality through cross-checking.
∎ Industry Linkages and On Job Assignments (OJA):
∎ Establish linkages with industries to facilitate on-job assignments (OJA) for trainees upon completion of classroom-based training, in line with project requirements.
∎ Collaborate with industry partners to identify suitable OJA opportunities and ensure a smooth transition for UCEP graduates into the workplace.
∎ Coordinate with the project team to monitor and track the progress and success of OJA placements.
∎ Employment Retention and Linkage Building:
∎ Undertake initiatives to ensure at least 80% of employed graduates are retained in their jobs for a minimum of three months, as per project requirements.
∎ Organize Employment Coordination Meetings (ECM), Job Fairs, and other events to facilitate job placements for UCEP graduates.
∎ Establish formal agreements with potential employers, both local and national, to build strong linkages and ensure decent employment opportunities for UCEP graduates.
∎ Reporting and Documentation:
∎ Prepare and submit timely and accurate reports related to career guidance sessions, enrollment support, employment data updates, industry linkages, and job placements.
∎ Maintain proper documentation of all activities, including relevant reports, agreements, and communication with industry partners.
∎ Ensure compliance with reporting requirements as stipulated by the project and USAID guidelines.
∎ Collaboration and Coordination:
∎ Collaborate closely with the project team and relevant stakeholders to align activities and ensure the smooth implementation of project objectives.
∎ Coordinate with the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) team to provide necessary data and information for monitoring and evaluation purposes.
∎ Participate in regular meetings, workshops, and trainings to enhance professional skills and contribute to project development.
∎ Support the UCEP program to carry out the project output with collaboration with other components.
∎ Other duties as assigned.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 35 years
∎ At least 03 (three) years proven experience as a trainer/facilitator, preferably in delivering soft skills training programs.
∎ Proven experience in conducting career guidance sessions and supporting trainee enrollment processes.
∎ Familiarity with employment data management systems and platforms.
∎ Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain industry linkages for employment opportunities.
∎ Knowledge of the local labor market, including industry trends, skill requirements, and job placement practices.
∎ Experience in organizing events, such as job fairs and employment coordination meetings.
∎ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate with potential employers.
∎ Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
∎ Support to develop module for EDT, soft skills etc. ToT on EDT from any recognized certification authority will get preference
∎ Proficiency in using MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
∎ Fluency in English and Bangla languages, both written and spoken.
∎ Age limit for the applicant would be 35 years. Management has the right to make exceptions based on qualifications.
