Additional Requirements:
  • Proficient in MS Office packages (Especially, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint) and communication tools.

  • Good presentation, facilitation and note-taking skills;

  • Proven ability in report writing, facilitate training, workshop and meeting·       

  • Willingness to work with people affected by leprosy and disability.

  • Experienced in working in cooperation with local GOV. health services and other partner NGOs.

  • Willing to travel frequently.



Responsibilities & Context:
  • Visiting local clinics, hospitals, neurologists, orthopedic specialists, general practitioners, and other medical professionals in order to introduce DBLM Hospital activities.

  • Working to promote the services offered by DBLM Hospital e.g. outpatient service, general physiotherapy services, assistive devices, orthosis and prosthesis services, wound care/dressing service, clinical laboratory services etc.

  • Marketing the DBLM Hospital`s training center’s facilities and guest house service to different GO/NGO stakeholders.

  • Arranging training programs on leprosy diagnosis and complication management at government medical colleges, district hospitals, leprosy specialized hospitals, and health institutes for the capacity building of medical professionals.

  • Communicate and liaison with   government medical colleges, district hospitals, and leprosy specialized hospitals on leprosy diagnosis and complication management for the capacity building of medical professionals. 

  • Advocate with government medical colleges, district hospitals, leprosy leprosy-specialized hospitals for providing complication services in their hospital facilities and follow-up.

  • Communicate and liaise with non-governmental hospital facilities for capacity building on leprosy diagnosis and complication management.

  • Collaborating and maintaining liaison with local Govt. offices like DC, CS, UNO, UH, FPO etc as appropriate.

  • Conducting a satellite clinic and providing related logistics support like travel, staff, materials, medications along with communication with the relevant CS or UH & FPO.

  • Connecting the patients with GO-NGO’s training providers so they can undergo IGA training after being discharged from the hospital.

  • Arranging an orientation session led by government representatives on Govt. safety-net services at DBLM Hospital.

  • Collecting and writing case stories, collecting quality photographs, and documenting and maintaining other information as an archive.

  • Assist in selecting potential IGA support candidates providing the services and regular follow-up for measuring impact.

  • Assist the hospital in charge in report writing, project planning and support the project review process.
