Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:
At least 2 years of working experience in the laboratory research field. Experience with sterile isolation of blood cells and microscopy will be added value.
Ability to maintain quality, safety, and control standards.Ability to develop and follow SOPs.
Ability to assess the validity and reliability of research data within the project.
Ability to analyze research methodology, protocol, and procedures and make recommendations for improvements and modifications.
Basic knowledge of immunology, molecular biology (cell isolation and culture, basic molecular biology concepts and techniques).
Capable of writing reports in English·
Proficient in using computer including MS Office & online collaboration tools.Knowledge of current technological developments/ trends in the area of expertise.
Knowledge and understanding of experimental procedures and data analysis.
Committed to working for the people affected by leprosy.
Performing experiments and documenting results according to established standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Planning and performing laboratory work.
Communicating with research staff regarding the planning of sampling and sample handling.
Communicating with external organization staff regarding SOPs, sample handling, laboratory experiments, database, shipments of samples, and ethical permission.
Working safely under the EHS guidelines with potentially biohazardous biological specimens.
Setting up, calibrating, operating, and maintaining sophisticated and/or advanced analytical and/or research laboratory equipment.
Reviews experimental and/or test results to ascertain the validity and reliability of data and the proper functionality of equipment.
Selects, modifies, and/or adapts equipment or procedures to specific project requirements.
Collaborating with other lab members on research projects and providing experimental or technical support.
Assist with receiving, processing, storage, and shipment of samples according to SOPs.
Contribute to the development of new research protocols and techniques in the laboratory. Interpret and perform basic analyses of results for research support.
Takes initiative, identifies, and mitigates risks to ensure accuracy in sample processing and data storage.
Offer suggestions regarding modifications to procedures and protocols in collaboration with research investigators and DBLM hospital laboratory.
Participating in academic activities, including group meetings and journal clubs, seminars, and scientific meetings.
Actively contributing to the continuous improvement of the lab and lab culture.
Coordination with other national and international organizations.
Any other work related to the laboratory assigned by the supervisor.
