Responsibilities & Context:
∎ The Nutrition and Health officer will be responsible for conducting health education, messaging and counselling to caregivers and beneficiaries attending services in the OTP, TSFP and BSFP Centre.
∎ She /He will develop and disseminate a range of health and nutrition messages including breastfeeding, hand washing, dietary diversity, ANC and PNC attendance, growth monitoring and promotion, and micro-nutrient supplementation among others geared at influencing the adoption of appropriate behaviors change around maternal infant and young child nutrition (MIYCN), women.
∎ In addition, the Nutrition and Health Officer will work closely with the nutrition team to identify children who are not responding to the treatment as required and structure particular messages to address identified challenges with child feeding and ensure that the caregivers are supported to ensure adequate care for their children.
