Job Context:
∎ Social Assistance and Rehabilitation for the Physically Vulnerable (SARPV) is a non- government, non-profit, Bangladeshi organization providing lifesaving nutrition support to the FDMN Rohingya people of Cox’s Bazar under its integrated nutrition program. As part of Nutrition interventions in support with WFP & UNICEF, SARPV is working for the treatment and prevention of malnutrition among under 5 children, adolescent, pregnant & lactating women in Rohingya community.
∎ Job Location: Kutupalong, Cox’s Bazar.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Admissions of eligible beneficiaries (children U5 with SAM without complications and MAM) in the nutrition facility :
∎ Welcoming the caregivers and beneficiaries warmly.
∎ Decide which patients are at major risk and need special care in phase I refer to inpatient.
∎ Decide which patients should be admitted rapidly with an abbreviation history and examination after formal admission and the start of treatment.
∎ Monitor, prevent and treat hypothermia and hypoglycemia.
∎ Diagnose and refer dehydration cases to the inpatient.
∎ Follow up of the anthropometric measurement of the children (height, weight, MUAC, bilateral edema and W/H percentage) taken by measurers.
∎ Explain the treatment and follow up procedures of SAM and MAM patients especially medical and nutrition treatment.
∎ Follow-up during the treatment phases:
∎ Calculation, distribution and monitoring of RUTF and RUSF according to the standard protocols for the beneficiaries.
∎ Follow up of the anthropometric measurements taken by measurer according to the protocols and maintaining record in the registration book and beneficiary cards.
∎ Ensure that the systematic treatment and drugs are given correctly to the beneficiaries.
∎ Identify patient who need to be transferred to inpatient due to failure to respond to treatment.
∎ Follow up of the weight gain and giving feedback to the caregivers.
∎ Follow up of the hygiene and sanitation rules in the center.
∎ Follow up of the medical treatment of beneficiaries transferred from inpatient to the nutrition facility for continuation of their treatment.
∎ At discharge:
∎ Check if all the procedures completed before discharge (anthropometric measurements, medical and nutritional treatment, systematic treatment and health and nutrition educations).
∎ Record all the necessary information in the registration book and card for each beneficiary.
∎ Identification of absence and defaulters from nutrition facility and follow up at home by CNVs.
∎ Reporting and statistic of the center:
∎ Keep a tally of all the beneficiaries admitted and discharged from the nutrition facility (admission, cured, defaulters, death, transfer, referral and discharge) by age group and admission criteria used.
∎ Record the attendance record of the beneficiaries in the different phases for home visiting and follow up.
∎ Drugs and therapeutic feeding products Stock management:
∎ Provide support to prepare the food requisition, consumption and balance stock.
∎ Others:
∎ Any other relevant assignment given by the Line Manager/ Supervisor.

∎ Age at least 14 years
∎ Only females are allowed to apply
∎ At least 01 year of experience in Rohingya response or in relevant field.
Salary: Tk. 50000 (Monthly)
