We are seeking a detail oriented Research Analyst to compile a comprehensive database of non-league football clubs across England, Scotland, Wales, and Ireland. The role involves identifying, verifying, and organising club data across multiple tiers of the football pyramid into a structured spreadsheet. This project requires accuracy, consistency, and strong research discipline.
Identify all non-league football clubs across:
England (National League System and below)
Scotland (outside SPFL)
Wales (Cymru Premier and below)
Ireland (regional leagues outside top tiers)
Work through league structures tier-by-tier to ensure full coverage
Source data from:
Official FA and league websites
Club websites
Verified football databases
Build and maintain a structured spreadsheet including:
Required Fields:
Club Name
League Name
Tier / Level (e.g. Step 1, Tier 7, etc.)
Country
City / Region
Stadium Name
Approx. Capacity (if available)
Website URL
Contact Email (if available)
Social Media Links
Cross-check all entries across multiple sources
Ensure no duplication of clubs
Standardise naming conventions (e.g. “FC”, “AFC”, abbreviations)
Maintain consistent league and tier classification
Go beyond top non-league tiers (National League and equivalents)
Include regional and grassroots leagues where possible
Continuously update missing or incomplete data
Master spreadsheet (Google Sheets)
