Employment Status: Contractual
Educational Requirements:
∎ Minimum graduation in civil, environmental or public health engineering.
Job Context:
∎ Duty station: Any of the following towns: Narail, Magura, Kushtia, Faridpur, Pirojpur, Jhalokati, and Bhola.
∎ Contract Duration: 8 (eight months under Consultancy Agreement (conditional subject to donor`s award of the fund)
∎ Expected Joining Date: 01 December 2023
∎ Working Hours: Full time (minimum of 40 hours per week)
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 6 years demonstrated professional skills and experience in development sector for which at least 3 years' experience in working with LGIs in urban development projects.
∎ Good experience in relevant projects in similar cities on delivery of municipal services;
∎ Excellent inter-personal skills when dealing with project beneficiaries and local authorities, as well as strong self-reliance.
∎ Being a resident of the project town would be considered an advantage;
∎ Clear understanding of urban water cycle issues, policies and programs in the context of Bangladesh.
∎ Demonstrated ability to work in a high stress, multi-tasking environment.
∎ Must be organized, responsible, self-directed, and creative in problem-solving.
∎ Proven ability to work independently and make sound decisions with a high degree of objectivity, tact, and diplomacy.
∎ Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office at an advanced level and proficiency in the use of various software applications including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, Adobe Acrobat or other.
∎ Excellent analytical, written, and oral communication skills both in English and Bangla.
∎ Effective networking and interaction with public and private organizations, including political parties, youth, and women's organizations, volunteer groups, social forums etc.
