Job Context:
∎ The Midwife is a member of the IRC health team and will be responsible for supporting the implementation of the IRCs Sexual and Reproductive Health Services, Primary healthcare activities in the Rohingya Refugee Camp, (S)He will ensure the delivery of high quality emergency maternal healthcare activities including normal vaginal delivery, child health and sexual and reproductive healthcare services, in particular she must be confident to independently deliver all services.

∎ Contract length: Up to April 30, 2020 (with possibility of Extension subject to funding, program needs and performance of incumbent)d
Job Responsibilities:
∎ To manage normal deliveries and initial care for the normal newborn
∎ Provide direct clinical care, ensure the delivery of high quality emergency MCH care services.
∎ To be able to detect complications and in collaboration with the medical Doctors to arrange timely referral.
∎ Triage, screening and assessment of patients.
∎ Provision of inpatient and outpatient treatment (where possible)
∎ Delivery of hygiene promotion, health education and patient/care giver counselling.
∎ Ensure adherence to infection prevention and control measures.
∎ Ensure accurate recording of information in the clinic registers, and timely completion of summary reports.
∎ Ensure clinic areas are appropriately stocked with essential equipment and supplies.
∎ Ensure patient confidentiality is respected, and that all consultations are conducted in a dignified and respectful manner.
∎ Counselling and provision of Family Planning
∎ Clinical Care for Sexual Assault Survivors
∎ Menstrual regulation
∎ Post Abortion Care
∎ Provision of basic first aid for intimate partner violence.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 24 years
∎ Only females are allowed to apply
∎ At least 1 year working experience
∎ Previously working with any local or International NGO
∎ Competent on performing normal vaginal delivery and handling obstetric emergencies.

Salary: Tk. 45000 - 47000 (Monthly)
