Job Responsibilities:
∎ Be constantly involved in product and supplier/vendor sourcing, to maintain market competitiveness and increase turnover levels by proactively sourcing new products and suppliers by supervise the Sample & Order follow up in order to meet deadlines
∎ Develop and nurture business partnerships with other internal departments and external entities, like supplier/vendor, for meeting customer requirements by using internal customer related information to enhance and develop sourcing strategies
∎ Manage and motivate a high performing team in accordance with the OI mission statement and turnover budgets
∎ Manage and collaborate with key vendors to maintain the stable performance and sustainable development also expand vendor capabilities, participate in vendor performance assessment/KPI review and derivation of measures for improvement
∎ Responsible for in-season steering of production process; allocate and prioritize bundles, value engineering of products and improvements of creating quotation for costing approach
∎ Lead and develop team members to ensure up-to-date product knowledge and expertise and maximize the team's productivity and capabilities by setting directions & goals, providing training, delegating tasks, and motivating & developing the skills of the team
∎ Develop & source high quality and price competitive suppliers and products and also developing quotation for suppliers and cost conscious customer.
∎ Establish a strong supplier frame by evaluating, monitoring and upgrading the performance of existing and potential vendors
∎ Actively provide input on improving the Workflow processes and in all matters that can influence the positive development of the office.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 10 years' garment merchandising experience, at least 5 years at managerial level and 3 years' experience with multi-channel European customers
∎ Degree / Polytechnic graduate in Textiles and Clothing, Design or related disciplines
∎ Extensive knowledge of woven/non-woven, denims garments, fabrics , washes , colors , dyes , chemicals
∎ Good understanding of manufacturing process in garment field and able to create own quotations to confront suppliers & cost conscious buyers.
∎ Strong analytical and problem solving skills, should be sales-driven and should have excellent people management skills
∎ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with all levels in working with overseas teams, staff, and vendors
∎ Good command of both written and spoken English with proficient in MS Office applications
