Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsible for fabric sourcing, reviewing and proposing to add or exit fabric suppliers.
∎ Responsible for fabric supplier development, supplier briefing & seasonal supplier evaluation.
∎ Keep abreast of Customers' needs & arrange the fabric according to buyer requirement.
∎ Control the fabric sourcing activities for a business unit or several product areas.
∎ Manage and control Fabric and Trim development in coordination with the sourcing teams, ensuring they meet the required standards.
∎ Communicate order details and requirements to suppliers / production units and manage and control the whole process pre and post order placement ensuring quantity, quality, order specification and delivery dates are achieved.
∎ Lead or Assist in Price Negotiation with fabric suppliers as designated by the Sourcing Product Manager/Merchandise Manager with the support of Senior Merchandiser (if any).
∎ Provide clarity and input to the line manager and cross functional parties
∎ Control and track orders critical path, forecast delays and course correct if needed with proactive action plans to ensure On Time Delivery.
∎ Product trend analysis & select the hit product and approach it to PM/Designer.
∎ Support cross functional & global team where needed and Develop robust supplier base.
∎ Product development as per buying requirement & its risk analysis with the coordination of technical mates.
∎ Coordination between designer, product manager and manufacturer.
∎ To prepare an order plan according to the right product in the right place at the right time at the right price.
∎ Quality review, price negation with mills, organize price bundling meeting & monitor sample development process with mills according to the buyer requirement.
∎ Mills capacity blocking, Product cost analysis & its implementation during price negotiation.
∎ Bulk order placement & delivery follow up.
∎ Liaison with our COTAB Design Team at EU for new update and also participate in price negotiation.
∎ Follow up Potential Delivery problems with Garments Supplier and the Nominated Trims Supplier.

∎ Experienced and understanding of the local sourcing market
∎ Has focused product knowledge / experience on garment, fabric and yarns.
∎ Good communicator, detail minded, very cost conscious

∎ Ability to build good relationships with cross functional parties eg: Buying, Product Development Quality , SSC , Technical teams and Suppliers
∎ High levels of integrity
