Job Responsibilities:
∎ Sourcing Strategy & Seasonable Supplier Selection
∎ Responsible for sourcing market development, reviewing and proposing to add or exit suppliers
∎ Controlling the process of Responsible for supplier development and supplier briefing
∎ Controlling seasonal supplier evaluation and seasonal capacity blocking for production
∎ Keep abreast of Customers’ needs
∎ Sourcing, Product Development and Operation Activities
∎ Control assigned product categories and being the key communicator for the assigned product areas in the location.
∎ Ensure satisfactory execution of all POs placed for his/ her category in order to meet all commercial KPIs: OTD, RTS, Conformity, Lead Time, etc.
∎ • Control the sourcing activities for a business unit or several product areas.
∎ Responsible for coordination of all operational activities from proto sample development , costing and production tracking
∎ Manage and control Fabric and Trim development in coordination with the fabric and trim teams, ensuring they meet the required standards.
∎ Manage and control the process of following through on sample development. Buyers Proto to Gold Seal Sample.
∎ Communicate order details and requirements to suppliers / production units and manage and control the whole process pre and post order placement ensuring quantity, quality, order specification and delivery dates are achieved.
∎ Lead or Assist in Price Negotiation with suppliers as designated by the Sourcing Product Manager with the support of Senior Merchandiser (if any).
∎ Provide clarity and input to the line manager and cross functional parties (eg: QA/TSMTeams) on order status and supplier capabilities.
∎ Control and track orders critical path, forecast delays and course correct if needed with proactive action plans to ensure On Time Delivery.
∎ Identify and diagnose production problems and work with suppliers to present alternatives to buyers and line managers.
∎ Support the SSC teams in ensuring that suppliers adhere to SSC requirements and corrective plans.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Has good understanding of garment construction, costing, and fabric
∎ Experienced and understanding of the local sourcing market
∎ Has focused product knowledge / experience on garment, fabric and yarns.
∎ Good communicator, detail minded, very cost conscious
∎ Intelligent and analytical
∎ Ability to build good relationships with cross functional parties eg: Buying, Product Development Quality , SSC , Technical teams and Suppliers
∎ High levels of integrity
