Job Context:
∎ With the partnership and financial support of NOREC, Efforts for Rural Advancement-(ERA) is going to implement Mutual Learning for Improving Health and Nutrition Scenario at Shantiganj Upazila under Sunamganj district. ERA is looking for a medical graduate as Medical Officer (Program Officer)
∎ for the project for next one year. Interested and confident candidates are requested to apply for the following position.
∎ Job Location: Shantiganj Upazila, Sunamganj
∎ Medical Officer will be based at ERA Sunamging office and work at the respective health centers, such as, Community Clinic, Satellite Clinic and Education institutions
∎ S/he will provide consultation, counselling services lactating mother and pregnant mother and adolescent groups on health and nutrition issues.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Conduct regular Out Patient Consultation, ANC and PNC services to the PLWs in the assigned Community Clinic, Satellite Clinic.
∎ Assist the Executive Director in developing plans and implementation strategies in line.
∎ Develop training, education and awareness materials on health and nutrition programs
∎ Build capacity of the Community Clinics staff trough providing training on health and nutrition issues
∎ Conduct training for Community health workers/volunteers on health and nutrition education and awareness activities
∎ Conduct periodic refreshers and feedback sessions for the community clinics staff and health workers
∎ Conduct assessment, focus-group discussions, one-on-one interviews to assess and document the project impact.
∎ Prepare periodic report for donor and other stakeholders
∎ Prepare project brief, PPT and represent ERA in different government and non-government forums related to health and nutrition sectors.
∎ Maintain coordination with the health and nutrition sector stakeholders in Upazila and district level
∎ Organize advocacy workshops/meeting with the health and family planning stakeholders
∎ Undertake other responsibilities assigned by the supervisor.
Additional Requirements:
∎ 1 year of work experience will be given preference.
∎ Regular field visit at Ward and Union level of Shantiganj Upazila under Sunamganj district.
∎ Basic skills in MS Word, MS Excel & Power point.
∎ Interpersonal Communication.
∎ Knowledge on community health programme.
∎ Knowledge on dealing patients.
∎ Have valid Passport.
∎ Willing to go Nepal for Learning visit.
Salary:
∎ Monthly salary BDT-70000 & benefit packages will be offered to the deserving candidate.
