Responsibilities & Context:

The Medical Officer will provide quality clinical services at the PSTC Model Clinic, ensuring safe, ethical, and client-centered healthcare in accordance with national guidelines and PSTC policies.

  • Provide outpatient (OPD) services, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.

  • Deliver maternal, newborn, and general health services, including antenatal, postnatal, and family planning services.

  • Manage common medical conditions and minor emergencies.

  • Prescribe medicines rationally and ensure proper use of investigations.

  • Ensure referral of complicated cases to higher-level facilities when required.

  • Ensure patient safety, confidentiality, and informed consent.

  • Maintain accurate patient records, registers, and clinical documentation.

  • Prepare and submit routine service statistics and reports to clinic management.

  • Support documentation required for donor-funded projects and government reporting.

  • Work collaboratively with nurses, paramedics, counselors, and support staff.

  • Provide high quality ESP services as per standards and protocol

  • Assist Team Leader to facilitate monthly staff meetings along with all the staff and review performance against set objective;

  • Take customer’s feedback from exit interview and suggestion box and implement

  • Ensure standard infection prevention procedure and safe waste disposal system in the clinic

  • Oversee and conduct the technical sessions and provide necessary inputs

  • Provide technical assistance to Paramedic, Counselor, CA, Lab technician to improve their technical competencies.

  • Provide hands-on training for the technical staff as and when necessary. 

  • Take initiative to increase customer satisfaction,

  • Assist Team Leader to assess staff performances and identify training needs

  • Conduct safe normal deliveries according to national guideline.

  • Assist surgeon to perform C/S.

  • Provide care for postoperative customers.

  • Manage any obstetric and neonatal emergencies.

  • Communicate with on call surgeon, pediatrician and anesthetist.

  • Provide other MH services like ANC, PNC, CaCx screening following roster duty.
