Experience:
A tertiary qualification in Allied Health to be eligible to administer standardized assessments.
Complete additional training to ensure quality of data collection.
Excellent English proficiency
Effective communication with parents, caregivers and community members
Effective time management and planning skills
Ability to travel within the research site to conduct home visits.
Collaborate with other members of the research team including Research team leader, Clinical Coordinator (Physiotherapist), University research team members, colleagues from Symbiosis Bangladesh and local healthcare facilities and members of the Advisory team in Bangladesh.
Comply with organization’s child & vulnerable persons safeguarding principles.
Attend quarterly staff meetings and team meetings at Symbiosis Bangladesh as required·
Undertake additional tasks assigned by the project supervisor to meet program goals.
Previous experience working with children with disability and their families. [Desirable]

Previous experience delivering community based services.
Familiarity with person and family centred care.
Familiarity with community development principles Capacity to utilise technology to facilitate remote communication with stakeholders
Excellent communication skill in English both speaking and writing.
Good interpersonal skills and communication with a wide variety of patients, medical staff, and caregivers.
Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
Assessment and Evaluation
Conduct standardized direct assessments with infants and support caregivers to complete questionnaires following specific protocols.
Monitoring and Documentation
Maintenance of the participant file (hardcopy and digital).
Data entry using research specific software.
Job Purpose
The Research Physiotherapist/Occupational Therapist will provide assessments for the community based LEAP-CP Randomized Controlled Trial which will be conducted by Symbiosis Bangladesh in partnership with the University of Queensland, Australia. LEAP-CP (Learning through Everyday Activities with Parents for infants with Cerebral Palsy) is a peer -delivered early intervention program that empowers caregivers to enhance the motor and cognitive development of infants at high risk of Cerebral Palsy through goal-directed, play-based activities at home. The Research Physiotherapist/Occupational Therapist will also be involved in the community-based early detection of infants at risk of Cerebral Palsy.
Additional Opportunities
There will be the opportunity to contribute to the evaluation of the LEAP-CP trial, including contributing to academic manuscripts.
