Education:
∎ Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) in Physiotherapy , Diploma in Medical Technology (Physiotherapy) in Physiotherapy
Requirements:
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 35 years
∎ Previous experience working with children with disability and their families.
∎ Previous experience delivering community based services.
∎ Familiarity with person and family centred care.
∎ Familiarity with appropriate paper based technology.·
∎ Familiarity with community development principles·
∎ Capacity to utilize technology to facilitate remote communication with stakeholders.
∎ Excellent communication skill in English both speaking and writing.·
∎ Good interpersonal skills and communication with a wide variety of patients, medical staff, and caregivers.
∎ Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Conduct thorough examinations of patients before initiating therapy.
∎ Assess the needs of children with CP and other PWDs to determine appropriate physiotherapy interventions.
∎ Develop and implement physiotherapy care plans, ensuring follow-up treatments.
∎ Train caregivers and families on therapy techniques to continue care at home.
∎ Assist in assessing PWDs for assistive device requirements.
∎ Immediately report emergencies or patient-related issues to the Consultant Physiotherapist.
∎ Evaluate patients using tests, movement analysis, and conversations to review progress.
∎ Schedule and supervise exercises and therapies for patients.
∎ Conduct home visits to monitor the progress of PWDs and provide physiotherapy support.
∎ Refer PWDs to advanced service centers or facilities when necessary.
∎ Collaborate with the Senior Disability Consultant of Symbiosis to enhance disability intervention programs.
∎ Support capacity-building sessions for project staff and caregivers.
∎ Ensure the safe use of therapeutic techniques and instruments.
∎ Maintain detailed records of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
∎ Prepare and submit reports to the Project Manager as required.
∎ Participate in team meetings and program reviews to evaluate progress and suggest improvements.
∎ Travel to project areas, including Dhaka, Mymensingh, and Haluaghat, when necessary.
∎ Collaborate with local stakeholders during events like International Disability Day and other disability-focused programs.
∎ Attendance at Symbiosis Bangladesh staff meetings each month and team meetings as required.
∎ Compliance with child safeguarding principles.
∎ Undertake additional tasks assigned by management to meet program goals.
