Job Responsibilities:
∎ Manage complicated cases
∎ Document all patient interactions using computers
∎ Review complicated cases with senior doctors during their daily morning and evening rounds
∎ Coordinate patient-care activities with nurses and other hospital staff. Supervise and guide other members of the team for day-to-day tasks
∎ Support clinical research work in the unit in order to ensure proper clinical management.
∎ Develop and demonstrate an interest in a particular specialty.
∎ Evaluate patients and decide on appropriate action (e.g. treatment and discharge, or admission into clinical units)
∎ Conduct thorough physical examination and gather detailed patient history; Request and administer tests, if required
∎ Interpret test results
∎ Prepare and present reports on cases, incidents, initiatives etc. during team meetings and department meetings in order to share experience(s) and learning with team members.
∎ Seek opportunities to be exposed to research activities of the unit in order to continually develop clinically and acquire new skills.
∎ Coach junior staff on the job on an ongoing basis
∎ Attend all training/clinical sessions
∎ Actively take part in mentoring activities organized by Friendship
∎ Diagnose condition and prescribe treatment
∎ Regular follow-up of patients daily to review response to treatment
∎ Duty on a roster Basis.
