Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Science Degree in Biomedical Engineering OR Clinical Engineering OR Medical Physics, Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering with equivalent biomedical engineering accreditation or a relevant field

∎ At least 3 year(s)

Job Context:
∎ The Medical Logistician will work under the direct supervision of Clinical Supervisor and also in liaison with Isolation Center clinical lead. He/ She will manage the clinical equipment in isolation center.
∎ Work Location: Shamlapur Isolation Centre in Camp 23, Teknaf, Cox`s bazar
∎ Contract Length: Till December 31, 2021

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Identify clinical equipment requirements and prepare technical specifications for procuring the items
∎ Review the equipment quotations (mechanical ventilators, Oxygen concentrators, auto-analyzers, blood gas analyzers, infusion points, oxygen units etc.) and proposed equipment and provide technical recommendation for procurement and support the procurement
∎ Perform inspections on incoming clinical equipment and machinery and complete pre-acceptance checks
∎ Update the Biomedical Engineering Standard Procedures Manual to the ITC for each machine
∎ Lead the process of installing the equipment and the arrangements of equipment within the ITC
∎ Management and maintenance of clinical equipment
∎ Training of clinical staff on using the equipment and safety precautions
∎ Develop an inventory of equipment
∎ Ensure acquisition of spare parts to sustain uninterrupted service delivery
∎ Timely repair and maintenance of Clinical equipment
∎ Investigate equipment failure and safety-related incidents

Additional Requirements:
∎ Preferably minimum 03 years working experience in the Biomedical Engineering field
∎ Knowledge of setting up, trouble shoot and minor maintenance of ITC equipment (ventilators, multi-monitors, auto-analyzer etc.
∎ Ability to work effectively under pressure in hardship situations and harmoniously within a team of colleagues from varied cultures and professional backgrounds
∎ Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
∎ Communication - listens and communicates clearly, adapting delivery to the audience
∎ Planning and Organizing - plans work, anticipates risks, and sets goals within area of responsibility
∎ Professionalism - displays mastery of subject matter
∎ Teamwork - contributes to a collegial team environment; incorporates gender related needs, perspectives, concerns and promotes equal gender participation
∎ Technological Awareness - displays awareness of relevant technological solutions
∎ Proficiency in both Bangla and English language
