∎ - MBBS qualification and two-year professional experience in hospital/clinic/NGO level after internship.
∎ - The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
∎ - Health, Hospital management, INGO, Medicine, public health
∎ - At minimum medical doctor profile, preferably with technical specialisation
∎ - Ability to cope with stress
∎ - Ability to work well as part of a multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary team
∎ - Ability to organise and prioritise workload, using initiative when appropriate
∎ - Able to work independently
∎ - Good communicator
∎ - Good organisational skills

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ 1. Ensuring the quality of triage
∎ a. Making sure the most severe cases are seen as a priority
∎ b. Regularly going through the waiting line in order to detect emergencies
∎ 2. Examining newly admitted patients:
∎ a. Systematically checking measles vaccination status in children aged from 9 months to 5 years old (or 15 years old depending on the context) and from 6 months old during epidemic periods
∎ b. Asking all questions relating to complaints (start of the problems, symptoms, intensity of the pain, etc.) and undertaking a systematic examination of all patients
∎ c. Measuring the vital parameters of all patients: temperature, heart and respiratory rates, blood pressure etc.
∎ d. Registering the main elements of osculation on surveillance forms, along with the dates and times of patient arrivals
∎ e. Undertaking complementary examinations if necessary
∎ 3. Treating pathological conditions from the list above, following the Tdh protocols
∎ a. Prescribing whole treatments according to the pathologies diagnosed
∎ b. Explaining (in collaboration with the pharmacy manager) the treatment to patients and the importance of following them correctly
∎ c. Advising patients on basic hygiene measures and on what to do if the symptoms become worse
∎ d. Treating non-complicated wounds, treating first degree burns, being capable of treating an abscess
∎ 4. Recognising and referring patients with conditions falling beyond his competencies
∎ a. To the referral doctor for all cases requiring a medical/surgical opinion
∎ b. To the reference hospital for cases requiring emergency hospitalisation
∎ c. To the nutrition centre (if one exists) for children presenting signs of severe malnutrition
∎ 5. Filling out consultation forms, the register and epidemiological information correctly
∎ a. Registering the main elements and the diagnoses
∎ b. Making clear notes on the medical prescriptions
∎ c. Ticking off the epidemiological form, distinguishing new cases from the old and choosing the most important diagnostic
∎ d. Informing the referral doctor of all abnormal increases of any one pathology
∎ 6. Other tasks
∎ a. Watching over the rational use of medicines
∎ b. Participating in the management of the health care team
∎ c. Participating in team meetings
∎ d. Collecting statistical data on a weekly/monthly basis
∎ e. Pointing out all dysfunctions in the organisation of care to the supervisor or
∎ 7. Diagnosing the syndromes of pathologies or conditions:
∎
