Job Context:
∎ Chemonics International, Inc., a U.S.-based international development consulting firm, is seeking a Materials Development Manager for an anticipated USAID-funded activity that will support higher secondary education in Bangladesh.
∎ This position will be based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.
∎ Employment Status: Full-time employee with benefits.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Lead participatory design, development, and adaptation of teaching and learning materials.
∎ Collaborate with teachers, educational leaders, and other stakeholders to assess and gather and incorporate feedback on learning materials to improve material effectiveness.
∎ Collaborate with key project partners and technical experts to develop high-quality, gender responsive, blended learning tools and products.
∎ Contribute to the development and strengthening of existing government leadership and management training materials for instructional leadership continuous professional development.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum five years' relevant experience in curriculum, pedagogical materials, or training materials development and/or production. Experience developing inclusive materials and educational content is strongly preferred.
∎ Demonstrated understanding of gender equity and equality, social equity (including disability sensitivity) and experience incorporating these into the development of learning materials.
∎ Demonstrated understanding of the Bangladesh education system, structure, and relevant curriculum requirements is required in order to develop locally appropriate and contextually relevant educational materials.
∎ Experience working with USAID, or other international donor funded programs is preferred.
∎ Proficiency in English required, with excellent written and oral communication skills.
