• The Global Health Supply Chain Program – Procurement and Supply Management (GHSC-PSM) project is the primary vehicle through which the U.S. Government procures and delivers life-saving health commodities and provides operational support to improve the management of the partner countries’ supply chain. In Bangladesh, the purpose of this Activity is to improve supply chain systems for commodity security, logistics, and regulation at all levels of the public health system—from national to subnational—to ensure that lifesaving health commodities are consistently available to healthcare providers and patients when and where they are needed and used appropriately to improve health outcomes.

Purpose

• The Commodity Procurement and Logistics Advisor will provide technical support to MOHFW, especially the DGHS, the Department of State, and other relevant stakeholders in the developing health product requirements across identified health areas, including maternal and child health, nutrition, and emergency response. As a part of that work, the GHSC-PSM project will develop capacity of Government counterparts in estimation of products requirements and gap analysis. The Commodity Procurement and Logistics Advisor, in collaboration with other advisors, will develop health product procurements to promote uninterrupted access to health service delivery under the direction of the Deputy Country Director or his/her designate.
