Experience:
Minimum bachelor’s degree (LLB) from a reputed university.
Bar Council enrolment is mandatory.
Permission to practice in the High Court Division is mandatory.
The applicants should have experience in the following area(s): Litigation, Commercial Law, Land Law, Company Law, Labor Law, Tax & VAT Law, etc.
At least 5 years practical experience working in a law firm or as an in-house lawyer.
Excellent drafting, vetting and analytical skills.
Strong interpersonal skills for effective liaison with external lawyers, governments offices, etc.
Practical experience in handling corporate legal affairs, regulatory compliance, and litigation is essential.
Strong knowledge and practical experience of commercial law, including back-to-back LC, recovery of bad debt, banking rules and regulations, etc.
Scrutinize land-related documents, prepare legal opinions and maintain all the land-related files with diligence.
Provide legal advice on tax and VAT related matters.
Provide legal advice on labor law and support HR functions.
Vetting, drafting and reviewing contracts and agreements.
Maintain all legal records with proper filing systems.
Represent the company in legal proceedings where necessary.
Sound knowledge of RJSC, NBR, etc. and experience in liaising with regulators and governmental offices.
Must be detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working under strict deadlines.
Integrity, professionalism, and communication skills must be top-notch.
