- Minimum 7- 8 Years of professional legal experience.
- Experience in Banks/NBFIs is mandatory.
Additional Requirements
- Membership of the Bangladesh Bar Council.
- Sound knowledge of Company Law, Artha Rin Adalat Ain, Bank/Finance Companies Act, Negotiable Instrument Act, Law of Contract, Registration act, Law of Limitation and other laws, regulations, circulars relating to the Banks and financial institutions.
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and drafting skills.
- Proficient in MS Office Package.
Responsibilities & Context:
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee all legal affairs of the Company.
- Manage litigation, recovery cases, and legal proceedings before all courts and tribunals.
- Provide legal advice to the Managing Director, Board, and senior management on legal and regulatory matters.
- Review and approve contracts, agreements, notices, and other legal documents.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines of the regulatory authorities.
- Coordinate with external lawyers, regulatory bodies, and government agencies.
- Monitor legal risks and ensure timely reporting of all litigation and legal matters to Management.
- Supervise the Legal Division and ensure effective case management and documentation.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Management in the interest of the Company.
