Additional Skills & Attributes

• Barrister at Law is preferred.

• The candidate should have Membership (Bangladesh Supreme Court Bar Association).

• Ability to communicate effectively with Senior Management and clients.

• Analytical, methodical and pro-active approach to problem solving.

Responsibilities & Context

• Practicing preventative law, providing legal advice and assistance to management and internal departments.

• Represent and defend cases before the court on behalf of company.

• Drafting various agreements, undertakings, board resolutions, Memorandum of Association, notices, replies to notices & regulatory letters and MoUs.

• Strong analytical skills with expertise in civil, criminal, corporate, admirality cases.

• Handle case analysis, legal research and dispute resolution.

• Manage and support litigation and arbitrary matters.

• Advise on company law, regulatory, compliance and corporate governance.

• Appearing in litigation and tribunal hearings on behalf of the company.

• Deal with any kind of hearing of the court with regard to company business.

• Take initiative & legal action according to the management decision.

• Extensive experience in handling financial litigation before the Lower Courts and the High Court Division of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh.

• Provide risk assessment in strategic decision making on legal issues.

• Liaise with external lawyers, courts and regulatory authorities.

• Proven experience in Civil and Criminal litigation and dispute resolution.

• Perform any other work as per assigned by the top management.
