Educational Requirements:
∎ M.Sc in Applied Chemistry & Chemical Technology/M.Sc in Chemistry/B.Sc in Textiles.
Experience Requirements:
∎ 7 to 10 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Lab Dipping:
∎ Adequate knowledge to operate Spectrophotometer DC850.
∎ Knowledge about M&S C41 & Datacolor Accreditation.
∎ Capable to check the purity/strength of dyes.
∎ Capable to select the production suitability dyes.
∎ Knowledge about reactive, disperse, pigment, direct dyes.
∎ Ensuring & maintaining Lab to bulk RFT.
∎ Ability to check the dyes self-properties on lot to lot.
∎ Ability to develop new dyes.
∎ Ability to color adjustment and match the shade.
∎ Ability to prepare recipe for any kind of re-checking or re-matching from dyeing floor.
∎ Able to email corresponding & explain technical limitations to the customers.
∎ Capable to monitor overall dyeing process & follow up with dyeing program.
∎ Able to meet agreed lab dip submission date to the customers & maintaining Lab Dip Hit Rate above 95%.
∎ Capable to develop any new combination to reduce dyeing cost at R & D stage.
∎ Should be capable to identify any dyeing fault & troubleshooting.
∎ *Lab Testing:
∎ Need to capable to continue In-House Laboratory Accreditation for the customers of M&S, Sainsbury’s (TU), NEXT, Tesco, H&M, Carter’s Oshkosh, Target Australia.
∎ Vast knowledge on ISO/IEC 17025:2017 Quality Management System to prepare Quality Manual, Quality Procedure, SOP & Work Instructions.
∎ Knowledge about ISO, AATCC & ASTM test methods.
∎ Should be able to conduct Risk Analysis for the finished products.
∎ Capable to conduct Root Cause Analysis for any failure especially in Restricted Chemicals/Substances & take corrective action & as well as take preventive action.
∎ Capable to conduct training programs & train up the lab technicians as per pre-scheduled plan.
∎ Capable to develop new test methods as per customer demand.
∎ Capable to check the purity of the basic chemicals which are used in the dyeing.
∎ Capable to communicate with External Testing Laboratory for sub-contract testing.
∎ Have the ability to read & understand the Quality Manual of the customers & inform to the R&D team if any technical limitations.
∎ Ability to review raw test data to ensure the accuracy of the reports.
∎ Knowledge about MSDS, TSDS, MRSL, RSL, ZDHC, M&S ECP, Clean Chain & PaCT.
∎ Have the ability to conduct training program on MSDS, MRSL & RSL.
∎ Familiar with Tesco Data Link, Sainsbury’s On Line Test Report Management System & M&S Contract.com.
∎ Ability to make annual budget for the laboratory.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Strong written and verbal communication skills in both written and speaking in English
∎ Well conversant in MS-Office
