Job Responsibilities:
∎ Organize training / awareness on regular basis, counseling & motivation to factory workers.
∎ Train personnel on Fire Fighting, use of Personal Protective Equipment on health & safety issues.
∎ Will face all kinds of audit as per code of conduct and prepare/make documents accordingly on regular basis.
∎ Communicate with BGMEA, Compliance Auditors, Fire & Civil defense Department, Labor Office, etc.
∎ Prepare and update the factory health & safety security standard as per various compliance requirements like BSCI, WRAP, Sedex, Accord, ISO, H&M, C&A, Wall Mart & Levi’s etc.
∎ Carry out regular compliance audit in the Business Unit and put up recommendations, follow-up for implementation and provide reports thereof.
∎ Conduct the awareness program on rules and regulation, compliance issues, health and safety; first aid etc.
∎ Supervise overall compliance issues of the factory & complete all tasks properly & timely as given by management.
∎ To prepare & review social audit check list on the basis of Bangladesh Labor Law 2006 (Amendment) & Buyers COC Manual.
∎ To discuss and negotiate with top management regarding no-compliance found in the Internal/ External social compliance audit especially where financial involvement is necessary.
∎ To maintain liaison with Buyer’s auditor/ third party auditors/ compliance & quality assurance officer of different Buyers.
∎ To support personnel & compliance officer to solve technical problems and also help them to prepare corrective. Action plan. (CAP) on the basis of External/ third party social compliance. Audit report and also follow up the implementation according to the CAP submitted to the buyers.
∎ To liaison with other internal/ external department to ensure the compliance requirement (I.E. legal papers- Trade License, EPB Certificate, IRC & ERC, Fire certificate, environmental certificate etc.)
∎ Find out any non-conformity in relation to Compliance and make sure that those findings are resolved in a systematic and planned manner.
∎ Collect and maintain regulatory documents relating to labour ordinance, occupational health & safety and social responsibility etc.
∎ Carry out any other jobs as assigned from time to time.
