Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Apparel Merchandising, Business Administration, or related field.
MBA in Marketing (preferred).
Experience Requirements:
• 12–18 years of experience in knit composite factory marketing & merchandising.
• Minimum 5–7 years in a senior leadership role.
• Strong experience handling vertically integrated knit operations (Knitting to Garments).
• Proven track record of handling reputed international buyers.
Required Skills & Competencies:
• Strong knowledge of knit fabric production (Single Jersey, Rib, Interlock, Fleece, etc.).
• In-depth understanding of dyeing, finishing, and garment manufacturing processes.
• Expertise in costing (Yarn to FOB).
• Excellent negotiation and buyer communication skills.
• Strong leadership and strategic decision-making ability.
• Capacity planning and margin analysis skills.
• Ability to manage pressure and large-volume orders.
A. Marketing & Business Development:
1. Develop and execute strategic marketing plans for knit products (T-shirt, Polo, Tank Top, Leggings, etc.).
2. Identify and develop new international buyers and sourcing partners.
3. Maintain strong relationships with existing global brands and buying houses.
4. Lead price negotiation, costing approval, and contract finalization.
5. Analyze global market trends, fabric innovation, and competitor activities.
6. Prepare annual sales forecast, order projection, and revenue targets.
B. Merchandising & Order Management:
7. Oversee the entire order process from inquiry to final shipment.
8. Approve yarn sourcing, fabric booking, and production capacity planning.
9. Ensure proper costing considering knitting, dyeing, finishing, and garment CM.
10. Monitor T&A calendar, sample development, lab dips, bulk production, and shipment schedules.
11. Coordinate closely with Knitting, Dyeing, Finishing, Planning, QA, and Commercial departments.
12. Ensure smooth bulk production flow and on-time delivery.
C. Production & Technical Coordination:
13. Align marketing commitments with factory production capacity.
14. Monitor fabric consumption, wastage control, and margin protection.
15. Support product development (new fabric blends, washes, finishes).
16. Ensure compliance with buyer quality and environmental requirements.
D. Leadership & Strategic Management:
17. Lead and supervise merchandising and marketing teams.
18. Set KPIs and monitor departmental performance.
19. Provide training and development for merchandising staff.
20. Report on business performance, order status, and profitability to Managing Director/Board.
21. Develop long-term business strategy for sustainable growth.
