• Experience in pattern development and understanding of fitting and sizing standards
• Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken), with the ability to interact with international teams

Fakir Apparels Limited is seeking a highly capable Design-Led Product Developer based in Bangladesh, working closely with the Barcelona studio. This role will act as a key bridge between design vision and product execution, ensuring developments are accurately interpreted, technically feasible, and aligned with client expectations.

The position requires close collaboration with local design and development teams to ensure seamless communication and efficient decision-making. As the business grows, the role offers the opportunity to build and lead a dedicated product development team in line with business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, interpret, and translate all product development briefs coming from the Barcelona studio, ensuring full clarity and alignment before execution

• Actively follow up with the Barcelona team to resolve doubts, ask relevant questions, and ensure accurate understanding of design intent

• Coordinate fabric developments when required, working closely with mills and suppliers

• Proactively source and propose alternative fabric options when original developments are not feasible

• Identify, source, and propose trims (buttons, zippers, and accessories) aligned with design requirements, for validation and use in sample development

• Coordinate pattern development and size specifications based on client fittings and technical requirements

• Ensure measurement charts and fits are consistent with each client’s standards

• Oversee sample washing processes when required for garment or fabric validation

• Coordinate print and embroidery developments for samples when needed

• Prepare and organize sample packages for both clients and the Barcelona office, ensuring quality and completeness

• Align closely with the merchandising team to ensure all developments are consistent with current client product strategies, while maintaining openness to new design directions

• Prioritize sample development timelines based on guidelines and urgency defined by the Barcelona team

• Participate in regular online meetings with the Barcelona team to ensure alignment, updates, and decision-making

• Be physically integrated within the design team in Bangladesh to enhance communication, speed, and product understanding
