∎ Program Brief:
∎ Founded in 1933, the International Rescue Committee (IRC) is one of the world`s leading agencies working in post-conflict and development contexts, supporting communities in over 40 fragile, failed and developing states. In this capacity, we work to restore safety, dignity and hope to millions who are uprooted, struggling to endure and wishing to advance on a path of development.
∎ The IRC has been present in Bangladesh since 2017 and obtained registration with the NGOAB in March 2018. Since the IRC obtained registration in March 2018, it has moved quickly to expand its integrated emergency health and protection response through both direct and partner-based programming focused on primary healthcare, women`s protection and empowerment, sexual and reproductive health, gender-based violence and child protection. Recently IRC has also introduced two new programs: Protection Rule of Law (PRoL) and Education. Through 2018, the IRC`s response strategy will primarily target Rohingya refugees in Cox`s Bazar, while meeting the significant needs in both refugee and host populations, as already existing vulnerabilities are compounded with cyclical monsoon and cyclone seasons that impose additional threats to the lives and protection of those refugees as well as vulnerable host populations. IRC will grow over time its geographic coverage within Cox`s bazar and to other parts of the country, thus expand its` networks and partnerships around emergency preparedness and response work, reach beyond the Rohingya refugees, also targeting the vulnerable host groups in Cox`s Bazar and other parts of Bangladesh.
∎ Purpose: The purpose of this position is to support the develop of Strategic Action Plan (SAP) for Bangladesh in timely and quality manner also supporting in adaptation of PCM tools for Bangladesh country programme under guidance of Under the guidance/supervision of the Senior Grants, Partnership and Accountability Coordinator, and in close collaboration with the senior management. The manager will also support in developing high quality donor proposals and donor reporting.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Strategic Action Plan (SAP) Development: (40-50% time):
∎ Act as Bangladesh's SAP Focal person and provide support to Deputy Director Programme and SAP lead consultant in development of IRC Bangladesh's SAP (202124)
∎ Lead and coordinate desk research and partners analysis as part of SAP development process
∎ Support relevant internal partners (e.g. Technical Coordinators) to conduct FGDs / KIIs with key partners (e.g. documentation and summarizing interview findings)
∎ Support (logistics and co-facilitation) to SAP lead consultant in organizing multiple meetings and workshops throughout SAP development process
∎ Provide regular update on SAP development process to DDP and raise potential concerns / support needs in timely manner
∎ Support DDP to in SAP familiarization process
∎ Programme development and management support: (50-60% time):
∎ Support in finalizing high quality business development proposals/concept notes and donor reports
∎ Support in adaptation of Project Cycle Management (PCM) tools in Bangladesh Country Program
∎ Development and maintain Project management dashboard for all grants.
∎ Support in finalizing each sector program and donor mapping in line with SAP
∎ Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor

∎ IRC Bangladesh team is well familiarized with the new SAP
∎ Prompt support in finalizing high quality donor proposals and reports
