Job Context:
∎ Purpose: The Manager- Protection, based in the Ukhia office will be responsible for technical oversight and support to field level implementation of the protection monitoring programming in Bangladesh. The overall goal of the protection monitoring program is to provide actionable information about the protection environment in Bangladesh for the Rohingya refugees for advocacy and response targeting, and to directly facilitate information provision and referrals for vulnerable refugee populations. The Protection Manager will ensure quality referrals and follow ups, and ongoing responsibilities as they arise, including emergency assessments and focus groups on specific protection issues identified. The Protection Manager will report to the Senior Protection Manager and manage the senior protection officers.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least three to 5 (five) years working in of which a minimum of 1 years is in a managerial level
∎ Strong understanding of humanitarian protection principles and standards
∎ Proven understanding of protection, working with PSS programming, case management and community protection.
∎ Demonstrated experience with monitoring the provision of non-specialized MHPSS services and case management preferred. Experience managing programming targeting men and boys, or individuals with specific needs a plus.
∎ Demonstrated organizational, management and reporting skills;
∎ Ability to understand and respond to contextual gender dynamics.
∎ Ability to work well both within a team and independently; strong communication skills.
∎ Ability to work under pressure with competing priorities and deadlines;
∎ Strong problem solving skills with ability to be flexible, adaptable, and creative in a challenging and fast-moving multicultural environment;
∎ High standards written and spoken English and Bangla are required, working knowledge Chittagonian is preferred.
∎ Full professional competency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
