Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelors' degree in Textile Engineering.
∎ Bachelors’ degree in any other discipline having sufficient experience in Denim Merchandising.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 10 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Must have vast practical expertise in both Woven & Knit Merchandise.
∎ Creates a prototype of a new product in order to iron out flaws in the final design
∎ Determines the process for creating a new item
∎ Gathers the raw materials necessary to build or create the product being developed
∎ Performs research in order to determine the best way to produce a particular fashion.
∎ Prepares reports on the various procedures that have been tried in order to eliminate methods & creations that are unsuccessful.
∎ Oversees product development amongst a team of individuals
∎ Presents new ideas to management in order to gain permission to develop product lines
∎ Prepares a cost analysis on the development of a new styles.
∎ Researches patents, copyrights and trademarks in order to make sure there are no infringement issues involved
∎ Ensures that every phase of a particular styles proceeds as scheduled
∎ Makes adjustments to a development plan whenever the current style is not working well
∎ Any other works as assigned by management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 33 to 40 years
∎ Proven working experience in Knit & Woven product development.
∎ Up-to-date with the latest merchandise trends and best practices
∎ Excellent verbal and written communications skills
∎ Strong listening, presentation and decision making skills
∎ Should have sound personality to lead the team.
∎ Should have ability to accomplish the assigned work individually with creativity.
Salary: Negotiable
