Responsibilities & Context:
Production Planning & Scheduling
Develop time and action (T&A) plans for each order.
Allocate production lines based on style complexity, SMV (Standard Minute Value), and capacity.
Balance workloads across departments to avoid bottlenecks.
Make sure to achieve the plan on time.
Resource & Capacity Planning
Ensure raw material availability aligns with production timelines.
Sample Development & Approval
Coordinate with design and merchandising teams for sample preparation.
Plan timelines for fit samples, pre-production samples, and size sets.
Ensure timeline for the Style file handover
Ensure approvals are secured before bulk production starts.
Material & Supply Chain Planning
Work with the sourcing team to plan fabric and trim delivery schedules.
Monitor lead times and arrange buffer stock for critical items.
Align procurement with production start dates to avoid delays.
Ensure Embellishments planning and approvals
Cost & Efficiency Planning
Calculate cost per piece and plan for efficiency improvements.
Monitor line productivity and plan corrective actions if targets are missed.
Plan overtime or additional shifts only when necessary to control costs.
Avoid more changeovers and plan back-to-back similar products for sewing lines.
Compliance & Quality Planning
Schedule quality checkpoints at cutting, sewing, and finishing stages.
Plan audits for compliance (social, environmental, buyer-specific).
Ensure corrective action plans are integrated into the production schedule
Risk Management & Contingency Planning
Identify potential risks (supplier delays, approval delays).
Develop backup plans (alternate suppliers, flexible manpower).
Maintain buffer timelines for unexpected issues.
Communication & Coordination
Plan regular meetings with merchandising, sourcing, and production teams.
Schedule a weekly meeting with the Industrial Engineering team for changeovers and upcoming styles.
Align buyer delivery commitments with factory capacity.
Ensure transparent communication with Management
