Educational Requirements:
∎ Master's degree (or a combination of a Bachelor's degree and relevant experience) in Media and Communications; Public Relations; Corporate Communications and CSR; Marketing Management; or equivalent degrees.

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 8 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsibility # 1: Manages CARE's reputation by promoting the organization's work and image to external audiences and stakeholders:
∎ Develop PR and media plans, including providing input on strategy, goals, budget and tactics on planning and implementation.
∎ Identifies audiences, undertake media mapping and determines the best way to communicate while critically analyzing media proposal.
∎ Produces branded media contents and materials, in collaboration with project staff.
∎ Develops and identify newsy contents and materials according to the media plan considering country and global strategy
∎ Writes, edits and otherwise produces media and promotional contents
∎ Devises and coordinates media opportunities while negotiating with individual outlets on price, quality and quantity
∎ Coach on writing Op-Ed and co-author pieces for media outlets
∎ Enhances and develops newsy contents for channeling through media
∎ Reinforce protocol and assists projects and program participants in connecting with media outlets and agencies following media guideline and protocol
∎ Maintains productive relationships with senior CARE leadership, program staff, donors, government of Bangladesh officials, media and CI members in order to facilitate internal and external communication and knowledge management.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 08 years working experience as media/development communications professional, preferably for the not-for-profit sector.
∎ Experience in and demonstrated understanding of the field of international development and issues.
∎ Proven ability to develop and disseminate media contents for development communication.
∎ Technical skills are highly desirable, including knowledge of the professional use of emerging media technologies and social media (Twitter, YouTube etc.); with basic proficiency in design and visual media
∎ Experience of travelling, working or living in a developing country, with experience during an emergency or crisis situations will be welcomed.
∎ Excellent relationship with Bangladeshi media.
∎ Fluency in written and spoken Bangla and English.
∎ Good understanding of MS Office applications.
