Educational Requirements:
∎ Minimum Bachelor degree in any discipline.
∎ ITP or Bachelor of Law (LLB) or Master of Law (LLM) degree is highly preferred.
∎ Bachelor degree in English will also be preferred.

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 4 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Regular monitoring of all compliance status in line with requirements adhering to relevant laws of the country and international standards.
∎ Drafting, preparing, and filing trademark applications, including drafting descriptions of products and services; preparing and filing extensions of time, allegations of use, responses to office actions, post-registration documents, and other standard trademark prosecution and maintenance documents.
∎ Identifying, preparing and filing of patents and copyrights, and executing all procedures and carrying out the due diligence for registration.
∎ Supporting global IP enforcement, including review of watch notices, gathering evidence, and assisting with the management of oppositions, cancellations, and potential disputes.
∎ Skills to conduct legal research, analyze issues and prepare/review drafts of legal documents, ensuring that they meet legal requirements and deadlines.
∎ Develop and oversee the Group's intellectual property strategy.
∎ Advise senior management on any new laws, regulations or statutes affecting the Group's intellectual property.
∎ To ensure Legal Compliance/ Code of Conduct, Fire, Building, Electrical, Health & Safety issues. etc.
∎ Ensure compliance with the Companies Act, 1994, Income Tax Ordinance, 1984 and VAT & SD Act, 2012.
∎ Keep constant contact with the local authorities, government and semi-government organization for any rules and regulation updates.
∎ To maintain and make the renewal of all necessary licenses/ certificates/ permits.
∎ Carry out regular compliance audit & put up recommendation, follow-up for implementation and provide reports thereof.
∎ Provide compliance training to the concerned Dept./employee as and when required on compliance issues.
∎ Preparing and updating all relevant Registers as required by local law and Consumers' Right Protection Act.
∎ Responsible for ensuring a healthy workplace maintaining efficient operation of safety, hygiene and environment.
∎ Perform any other operation-related function indicated by immediate supervisor.
∎ Other duties & responsibilities as assigned by the management from time to time when required.

Additional Requirements:
∎ 4+ year(s) experience in the related field.
∎ Experience in conducting Compliance Audit and maintaining Legal Compliance.
∎ Sound knowledge on Companies Act, 1994, Income Tax Ordinance, 1994, VAT & SD Act, 2012, Bangladesh Labor Act, 2006 and Bangladesh Labor Rules 2015.
∎ Knowledge on Intellectual Property Law, The Patents, Designs and Trademarks Act.
∎ Computer literacy & typing skills (must be good at English & Bengali Type).
∎ Should be dynamic, well organized, self-driven & have a good personality
∎ Skills Required: Fluent in English Speaking and Writing, Microsoft Office packages.
