Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor degree preferably in Environmental Science/Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Textile Engineering and a post graduate business degree will give extra advantage
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 2 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Communicate with business divisions and credit risk management about the green and sustainable finance opportunities, and keep senior management informed with related directives from the central bank and global initiatives
∎ Thorough knowledge on refinance schemes offered by the central bank against green and sustainable businesses, and cater such concessional refinance facilities to valued end-borrowers
∎ Visiting green and sustainable projects sourced by relationship managers to identify their eligibility for refinancing and conduct necessary due diligence as per ESRM guidelines & Credit Policy, and process refinance applications at Bangladesh Bank
∎ Sourcing concessional fund offered for green projects/ initiatives from local/ regional/ international financing agencies
∎ Periodical reporting to Bangladesh Bank and international agencies where IDLC is involved
∎ Review and update internal policies and guidelines in line with the circulars from the central bank and update senior management, credit risk management, and business divisions
∎ Coordinate with the central bank, clients, and consultancy agencies in reviewing and submission of ESIA Reports, Energy Audit Reports, LEED certifications, technical operational and maintenance documents of different green projects, etc
∎ Attend, participate, and represent IDLC in training sessions, dialogues, seminars, conferences related to green and sustainable initiatives organized locally and overseas Also arrange such seminars/dialogues/training sessions on IDLC's behalf
∎ Organize/prepare industry research reports on various sectors and opportunities
∎ Frequent visit to in and outside of Dhaka city
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum Two years' experience in the relevant field in banking/development agencies/consulting firms relating to environment related activities
∎ In-depth understanding of sustainability, climate, social and environmental issues as well as corporate social responsibilities
∎ Excellent interpersonal communication & negotiation skills
∎ Should be able to work both independently and as part of a team
∎ Should have the ability to work under pressure
∎ Excellent writing and presentation skills
∎ Good analytical ability and proficiency in EXCEL
