Educational Requirements:
∎ Minimum Masters/ MBA in Accounting or Finance.
∎ Candidates who have CA course completed will be preferred.
∎ Sufficient update knowledge in IFRS, IAS, BAS, BSA, Accounting & Financial rules, regulations of Central Bank, Income Tax Law, Vat, national & local laws and requirements of NGO Affairs bureau, NBR and other regulatory bodies of the government of Bangladesh.

∎ At least 8 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ To contribute to implementing UCEP Bangladesh's values, vision, mission and goals, and development of future strategy documents as needed.
∎ To maintain detailed donor database and ensure its timely and regular updates.
∎ To ensure timely donor reporting as per agreements / MoUs / Contracts etc. as well as respond to donors' queries.
∎ To ensure timely preparation of UCEP Bangladesh's annual budget including partnership project budgets, budget revision for existing ones as and when required.
∎ To contribute to developing and implementing key strategic documents, policies, guidelines, procedures, tools etc. as necessary to ensure good governance and rigorous compliance practices as per country law within UCEP Bangladesh.
∎ To contribute to various committees in decision making as requested and required by the management.
∎ To contribute to developing project proposals, project completion reports, due diligence assessment of partners, business plans etc. as required and requested.
∎ To contribute to developing and updating Project Management Guidelines (PMGs) and ensuring necessary follow up covering UCEP Bangladesh and all its entities at central and regional levels.
∎ To prepare budget segment of all Project Management Guideline (PMG).
∎ To prepare monthly financial analysis of financial situation as well as update of financial part of PMG for the management.
∎ To prepare NGOAB required documents for approvals.
∎ To handle relevant issues with donors/government bodies/partners as required and requested.
∎ To submit, follow-up and ensure statutory approvals.
∎ To coordinate all statutory and donors related audits (internal and external).
∎ To provide finance related orientation to the employees involved with specific projects.
∎ To ensure proper documentation and recordkeeping of all the financial compliances.
∎ To prepare reports for Senior Management Team (SMT) and Board.
∎ To contribute to periodic budget analysis report, Value for Money (VfM) report for management and donor purposes.
∎ To contribute to developing project proposals, project completion report, due diligence assessment of partners etc.
∎ To ensure compliances of Tax, VAT and other statutory requirements.
∎ To ensure timely preparation, submission of NGOAB fund clearance applications and obtain necessary approvals.
∎ To review UCEP Bangladesh's systems for internal control of financial functions and recommend areas/measures for further improvements.
∎ To contribute to ensure smooth operations of accounting and financial software (e.g. quickbook, ERP, Tally).
∎ To participate in donor meetings / budget negotiations under the guidance of supervisor.
∎ To ensure effective and efficient management of grants, compliances, project wise finance of UCEP Bangladesh and its entities at central and regional levels.
∎ To ensure effective and efficient management of advances and loans to different project.
∎ To visit and check compliances of financial management at regional level on a regular basis.
∎ To attend relevant donor meetings and visits.
∎ To organize and handle donors/partners visits to UCEP Bangladesh and its entities.
∎ To contribute to preparation and its due implementation (financial aspect) of annual budget of UCEP Bangladesh.
∎ To check and ensure tax related due compliances.
∎ To prepare budget variance related analytical reports and inform respective projects' key persons to address to variances properly.
∎ To prepare timely fund requests for donors and follow up the status of submitted requests.
∎ To deal any banking issues in relation to fund clearance.
∎ To be able to track and report on any form of revenue for UCEP Bangladesh.
∎ Provide necessary support and ensure compliance to USC, UTIs, UIST etc. as required and requested
∎ Promote and contribute to ongoing efforts towards gender equity & equality, child/staff protection & safeguard, inclusiveness, accessibility and discrimination free environment in the workplace and operations/activities/plans. In applicable cases, ensure that necessary budget allocation is there and in KPIs these issues are reflected regarding employees under supervision.
∎ To share reports, updates etc. with relevant departments (like Strategy, Knowledge Management and Corporate Affairs) in applicable areas (like annual report preparation etc.).
∎ To maintain strict confidentiality of all information, documents and other internal and external communications.
∎ To develop standard operating procedures so that all relevant and applicable actions can be carried in an error free manner.
∎ To render necessary supports to other departments in order to assist/guide them in the field of grants and compliance.
∎ To carry out any other relevant tasks as assigned by supervisor as and when necessary.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 45 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Minimum 08 (eight)years of relevant professional experience including at least 3 years in managerial role in grants and compliance functions in a large organization.
∎ Experience of working with NGOAB and Donors.
∎ Excellent command of communication skills both in Bangla and English.
∎ Excellent computer operating skills & conversant with MS Office package including latest financial, accounting, HRM etc. software (e.g. ERP, HRMS, Quickbook etc.) and other software and e-tools. Preference will be given to experiences or qualifications on tech-based business solutions.
∎ Self-motivated, adaptable and team player.
∎ Ability and willingness to travel frequently.
∎ Age limit for the applicant would be 45 years. Management has the right to make exceptions based on qualifications
