Additional Requirements:
Should have 10-12 years hands-on experience in operating the biological Effluent Treatment Plant & WTP
Should have in-depth knowledge in microbiology and environmental chemistry, updated technology & control parameters to meet up the latest DoE standards & ZDHC standards, sludge management, lab test and environment compliance issues.
Understanding of the machinery used for wastewater treatment and boosting pumping system etc.
Ability to diagnose and correct ETP malfunctions e.g proper trouble shooting & remedy
Responsibilities & Context:
Akij Textile Mills Ltd. is a sister concern of Akij INSAF one of the largest conglomerate in Bangladesh, founded in 1998 by Sk. Akij Uddin. The industry is fully export oriented and known for its various units, Spinning, Yarn Dying, Weaving & Fabric Dyeing and Finishing, more than 5,000 employees. Spinning unit consists of reputed brands of machineries like Reiter, Zinser, Schlaforst-Autocone, Autocore, Uster-Lab. Weaving unit is fully automated with state of the art machineries, like Picanol- Omni Plus 800, Airjet Looms with quick style change, Karl Mayer- High Performance Sizing and Sectional Warpers, Stauble Automatic Drawing- in System, CCI-Automatic Sampling Loom & Yarn Dying unit consists of high class machineries like SSM (Swiss) Soft Winding and Re-Winding machines, Gofront Stalem and Galvanim.
Now, we are seeking a dynamic & energetic person to join us as “Manager (ETP Operation)”.
The candidate has to perform following responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) including monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of equipment
Develop and implement strategies to improve treatment efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize environmental impact
Manage proper storage, handling, and disposal of chemicals used in the treatment process
Ensure all documents and reports are accurate and up-to-date relating to ETP operations, including effluent monitoring data, chemical inventory, and maintenance activities.
Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to improve plant efficiency.
Conduct training sessions for staff on ETP operations and safety procedures.
Establish safety protocols and ensure adherence to health and safety standards.
Address operational challenges, develop solutions, and implement improvements to optimize plant performance
