Education:

• Master of Science (MSc) in Environmental Science

• A master`s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Engineering, or a related field will get extra preference.

Requirements:

Skills Required: Bangladesh Labor Law,Chemical Management,Communication,Energy Management,Environmental Science,Fire Safety Audit,Health Safety and Environment,Regulatory Compliance,Safety risk assessment

Additional Requirements:

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in EHS roles, preferably within the textile, apparel or relevant industry.
• Ability to develop, implement, and enforce comprehensive EHS policies and procedures.

Responsibilities & Context:

• Work to assist fulfill environment and chemical management system according to National, Brands and international guideline;

• Fulfill the requirements of Environment Module of HIGG INDEX FEM 3.0, ICS Audit, IS0 14001:2015 and also environment, health & safety related part in other certification and buyer`s COC audit;

• Understand reports of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and Environment Management Plan;

• Take Plan for improving the parameter on environmental assessment;

• Collect month wise utility data with the collaboration of utility team, provide monthly, bi-annual and annual performance data as per buyers requirement.

• Must have understanding regarding BCMP (Best Chemical Management Practice), Chemical Management & Compliance, BlueSign, BHIVE.

• Take plan for improving the parameter on environmental assessment.

• Take part in developing newer policies on environmental management and ensure the practices as per policy;

• Take part in conducting internal audits to find out gaps and then ensure the standards of environmental aspects.

• Face various types of audits regarding environmental aspects.

• Maintain and ensure Brands` Minimum Requirement of environmental aspects.

• Monitor ETP wastewater discharge, evaluate the environmental parameters as per DOE standard and achieve ZDHC standard.

• Understand MRSL, RSL, SDS, MSDS and maintain documentation properly, ensure proper guideline about chemical purchasing issue Ensure proper chemical management in the chemical store and floor.
