Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Ensure factory compliance in areas of local laws standard, health and work safety and environmental protection at factory premises.
∎ Ensure Compliance of the internal activities according to the buyers & environmental acts.Monitor ETP Performance and liaison with the Department of Environment (DOE) on a regular basis to update Environment Clearance certificate and periodical necessary tests.
∎ Analyze MSDS with CAS number, GHS pictogram, cross-check CAS number in ZDHC MRSL and make sure the chemical and out of 11 priorities banned and restricted groups;Update Chemical Inventory in monthly basis for the process and non-process chemicals and upload in website if applicable.
∎ Collect MSDS or SDS, TDS, REACH, GOTS, OEKO TEX-100, ZDHC MRSL, RSL, and ZDHC positive list and keep these documents as hard copy in the file as well as a soft copy for disburse to potential buyers.update the MSDS/SDS/pictogram and label for all chemical in all chemical using area in local & English language.
∎ Ensure to hang MSDS, labeling in chemical store, distribution sub-store, dyeing, printing, ETP, spot removing room, and all relevant area; Make to keep storing, Data analyzing, root cause analyzing, follow up, monitoring & regular training on safe chemical management.
∎ Execute the operational system/process for ETP.
∎ Monitor and evaluate the environmental parameters as per DOE Standards & ECR-1997 & achieve BSR standard.
∎ Need to carry out investigations if any test failures.Ensure proper chemical storage, labeling, secondary containment, and safe using with proper training.
∎ Make the safety of all chemical processes and products in the company and also keep the premises free from all chemical toxicities.
∎ Conduct awareness training programs to workers along with top management on 3R policy, water & energy saving, Waste reduction, Chemical Handling, Environmental Management System, and buyer's Code of Conduct.
∎ Follow the standard operating procedure (SOP) for all analytical tests and good laboratory practices.
∎ Co-ordinate chemical suppliers through the supply chain to ensure Chemical Restriction List & Implementation Toolkit with MSDS standard.Follow the RSL & MRSL and maintain strictly.
∎ Ensure original MSDS, TDS, Guaranty letter and other certificates from suppliers. Follow APEO/AP/AZO/FORMALDEHYDE Guidelines.
∎ Maintain chemical inventory sheets and update on a regular basis.
∎ Ensure external health checkups for all Chemical handling personnel.
∎ Conduct Environment and Chemical Risk Assessment and confirm the CAP.Ensure all kinds of Environment/ Fabric/ Chemical Tests by 3rd Party (ITS, BV, SGS, BUET, icddr'b etc.) and DOE.Periodically assess air emission, noise level and others environmental aspects.
∎ Maintain EHS Self-Assessment, Chemical Restriction & water self-assessment with internal audit & review meeting.
∎ Arrange & maintain all ECR related Documents for Social & Environmental Compliance audit accordingly.Regular monitoring of energy consumption, GHG emissions & Air emissions.
∎ Setting strategies to reduce energy consumption, GHG emissions & Air emissions.
∎ Regular monitoring of water consumption in the factory premises.
∎ Setting goal to reduce water use & implement strategies to reach goal as per 3R policy.
∎ Ensure proper segregation of all kinds of wastes according to hazards.
∎ Setting & implement strategies to gain zero discharge of wastes from factory premises.Any other tasks assign by management.
