∎ In coordination with the Communications and PR Coordinator, the Manager - Communications & Media provides strategic coordination of CARE Bangladesh communications and PR plan, and creates and disseminates communications, visibility and PR materials to promote CARE BD's identity, brand and reputation across different stakeholder groups.
∎ The Manager - Communications & Media has a strong understanding of CARE's work, policies, and approaches, and uses this as the basis of CARE's media and external communications work. Reporting to the Communications and PR Coordinator, the Manager -develops and maintains strong relationships across programs and projects in order to accurately and effectively engage with external networks, including the media, humanitarian community, and other strategic partners.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 7 years' working experience as communications/development communications professional, preferably for the not-for-profit sector.
∎ Experience in and demonstrated understanding of the field of international development and issues.
∎ Proven ability to produce IEC materials for corporate and development communication.
∎ Technical skills are highly desirable, including knowledge of the professional use of emerging media technologies and social media (Twitter, YouTube etc.); with proficiency in design and visual media, including experience using Adobe Suite, Microsoft Publisher and/or online design platforms.
∎ Experience of travelling, working or living in a developing country, with experience during an emergency or crisis situations will be welcomed.
∎ Excellent relationship with Bangladeshi media.
∎ Fluency in written and spoken Bangla and English.
∎ Good understanding of MS Office applications.
