Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Finance & Banking
∎ Bachelor degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or in related fields. Additional certifications in banking or trade finance will be an advantage.
∎ Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in commercial operations and banking, preferably within a similar industry.
∎ Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and trade finance instruments.
∎ Proficiency in managing LCs, shipping documentation, customs procedures, and trade compliance requirements.
∎ Sound understanding of banking operations, including trade finance, fund management, and foreign exchange transactions.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Commercial Operations: Oversee and manage commercial activities across the group, including import documentation, letter of credit (LC) management, customs clearance, shipping arrangements, and trade compliance. Ensure compliance with trade regulations and minimize delays or disruptions in commercial operations.
∎ Banking-Relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with banks and financial institutions. Manage banking transactions, including LC negotiations, trade financing, fund management, and foreign exchange transactions. Collaborate with banks to optimize banking facilities and services for the group.
∎ Trade Finance: Coordinate with the finance team to arrange and manage trade finance facilities, such as LCs, bank guarantees, and documentary collections. Monitor and manage trade finance costs and associated risks.
∎ Contract Negotiations: Assist in contract negotiations with suppliers, customers, and service providers. Ensure favorable terms and conditions that protect the company's interests while complying with applicable laws and regulations.
∎ Risk Management: Identify and assess commercial and banking risks. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to safeguard the company's financial interests. Monitor market conditions and regulatory changes to proactively address potential risks.
∎ Documentation Management: Oversee the maintenance and organization of commercial and banking documents, including LC documents, shipping records, and customs paperwork. Ensure accurate and complete documentation for compliance and audit purposes.
∎ Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the commercial and banking team, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities. Foster a collaborative work environment and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
∎ Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including sales, operations, and finance teams, to ensure smooth commercial operations. Liaise with external stakeholders, such as banks, shipping agents, and regulatory authorities, to facilitate efficient commercial transactions.
