- Proficiency in AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, ETABS, or similar engineering software.
- Practical experience in steel structure construction, detailing, and supervision is required
Responsibilities & Context:
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of all school buildings, classrooms, laboratories, offices, and common areas.
- Coordinate with maintenance, housekeeping, security, and technical teams to ensure timely service delivery. Monitor campus utilities (electricity, water, HVAC, generators, etc.) to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Support planning and execution of infrastructure projects, renovation works, and space allocation
- Lead and control civil engineering projects to ensure that they are completed to the standards required within agreed timescales and to the agreed budget level
- Carry out feasibility studies for major and minor works
- Coordinate with team members (Architect, Structural Engineers, Plumbing Engineers, Electrical Engineers) and provide necessary guidelines
- Maintain regular contact with design consultants, architects, structural engineers and other stakeholders involved in civil engineering projects
- Liaise with government authorities and regulatory bodies to obtain necessary approvals for BIT.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company standards
- Conduct regular site visits, progress reviews, risk assessments and report to management with necessary recommendations
- Assist in planning, executing, and monitoring civil construction works according to project requirements.
- Supervise site activities to ensure work quality, safety, and compliance with engineering standards.
- Prepare and review structural drawings, BOQ, estimates, and project documentation.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure timely progress.
- Conduct site inspections and prepare progress reports.
- Ensure proper implementation of quality control and safety procedures.
- Support senior engineers in project execution and structural detailing.
