Educational Requirements:

Job Context:
∎ To effectively manage Beneficiary Data Management operations pertaining to the Management Information System (MIS) for the Refugee Response Program
∎ To ensure MIS applications is in place for set up of new distribution projects, and Data analysis and consolidating and generating MIS reports. This position will also require delivering systems maintenance, testing new software development for field deployment, soliciting client user requirements, and assisting with new/upgraded system installations. The position will devote approximately 60% of his/her time to support World Vision`s WFP programs.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provide support in design and development of Information Management platform, including tools, systems, resources and training for staff.
∎ Support data collection, management and processing using appropriate digital tools and techniques.
∎ Functionalize, manage and troubleshoot the beneficiary tracking system and support relevant sectors in extracting and analyzing beneficiary data.
∎ Review and validate the consistency and accuracy of all Sector specific MIS data and suggest corrections and/or improvements
∎ Ensure correct functioning of MIS in all Food Security, Nutrition, and other sector programs.
∎ Assist Sector Leads and MEAL Lead in assessing and sharing programmatic information needs of internal and external stakeholders.
∎ Help in building the skills of teams in the IM field and ensure that IM tools and procedures are capitalized on.
∎ Compile and synthesize data and information from internal and external sources.
∎ Ensure Safety of data collected in the field; maintain backups and encryption of laptop data when required.
∎ Help administer MIS system users within the project.
∎ Support for Field Monitors and reports back to the core system delivery team on state of field deployments.
∎ Work with software developers and partners in new systems development.
∎ Report technical failures, help to replicate problems and lead field installations with system upgrades/new releases.
∎ Document technical shortfalls within the existing mobile product offering and with new version releases
∎ Prepare MIS reports and forward them to relevant departments.
∎ Prepare reports and ensure timely IM Manager and Food Assistance Manager and relevant stakeholders (Donor).Maintain a neat, organized and chronological filing system, ensuring that hard copies of the recommended reports are available and easy to access at any required time.
∎ Make frequent visits to the field locations to assist in MIS, documentation and accountability.
∎ Ensure real-time monitoring and appropriate data storage so that local programming data is readily available at times
Additional Requirements:
∎ Experience in operating and implementation of Management Information System is required.
∎ Data analysis using STATA, SPSS, or R (preferred); Spreadsheet (Minimum)
∎ Solid networking skills - able to set up, securing and administer wireless ad-hoc peer-to-peer networks. Ability to isolate and troubleshoot network connectivity difficulties accordingly and through running IP configuration tools, resetting wireless connections. Understands TCP/IP protocol.
∎ Knowledgeable of Relational Database Management Systems - exposure to MySQL highly desirable, including the use of database management tools (such as MySQL Query Browser and Administrator).
∎ Knowledge of and previous experience with block-chain technology is an advantage.
∎ Ready to support end-users.
∎ Good written and oral communication skills
∎ Good command of English language both written and oral.
∎ Requires the ability to effectively present concepts to lay users in various settings and by various means (verbal and written).
∎ Requires strong communication skills to interact with all levels of staff and management.
∎ Must be able to work effectively with a diverse team.
∎ Requires the ability to work under pressure and on multiple tasks.
