∎ Uttaran Communities Limited (UCL) is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer to join our dynamic team. In partnership with Aqua for All, we are committed to providing low-cost drinking water solutions to the communities of the southwestern region of Bangladesh.

∎ Project Name Uttaran Paani
∎ Base location: Tala Upazila, Satkhria District
∎ Project Duration: 15 months
∎ Expected Starting Date Feb 15th -2023

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The M & E Officer will be responsible for the following tasks:
∎ Monitor all project activities and progress towards achieving the project output in Satkhira and Khulna District.
∎ Develop and maintain program monitoring and reporting system.
∎ Assist marketing officer to develop strategies to increase water supply for hard to reach communities.
∎ Ensure field staff are properly trained and prepared for all relevant aspects of program monitoring;
∎ Ensure the consistency of M&E quantitative and qualitative data (baseline and end line)
∎ Supervise implementation of M&E process (baseline, end line and PDM, as delegated by the Project Coordinator.
∎ Establish functional MIS system and follow data management protocols
∎ Prepare Monthly Update M&E report as required by UCL and Donor
∎ Liaise with Project coordinator to ensure that program indicators, monitoring formats, databases, data analysis, and reporting are maintained and harmonized;
∎ Provide feedback to the Project Management on project strategies and activities
∎ Suggest strategies to the Project Management for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the project by identifying bottlenecks in completing project activities and developing plans to minimize or reduce such bottlenecks
∎ Report monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual progress on all project activities to the Project Coordinator Participate in annual project reviews and planning workshops and assist the Project Coordinator in preparing relevant reports
∎ Assist the project personnel preparing M&E tools and in supporting them in their use
∎ Conduct need based small study for learning and share result for improvement
∎ Prepare monthly analysis based on progress and share achievement and gaps as well in the mgt meeting to promote effective planning.
∎ Maintain effective coordination with project team as well as M&E technical lead.
∎ Any other additional activities as per organizational needs.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 01 Years of Experience of working in similar position in a National/International organization (including private companies).
∎ Basic understanding on data management and functionalities to establish Project MIS.
∎ Understanding on analysis software like SPSS/advance EXCEL/Strata or other similar software for analyzing data.
∎ Experience in designing tools and strategies for data collection, analysis and production of reports.
∎ Experience in M&E report writing, research report writing etc.
∎ Familiar on ODK based data collection system will be an advantage.
∎ Fluency in English and Bengali.
∎ Ability to work effectively with remote area.
∎ Proven ability to work in an intercultural environment.
∎ Willingness to travel extensively across the working area.
∎ Willing to drive motorcycle with valid driving license.
∎ Accomplish dead line driven activities and accomplish deliverables within time frame.
