• Advanced skills in computers (Windows, word processing, spread sheets, etc.)

• Documentation preparation and filing skills

• Ability to deliver unfavourable news to unsuccessful suppliers/providers.

• Sensitive to cultural and regional issues

• Languages: Bengali and English

• Required Fluently spoken and written English.

• Additional Requirements

• 3-year experience in procurement, general logistics, including warehousing, transportation, customs clearance and procurement.

• Experience of supervising and supporting staff or labourers.

• Solid experience in delivering consolidated financial reports with expenditures in multiple currencies

• Experience of working for a humanitarian/non-profit-making organization in relevant area.

Young Power in Social Action (YPSA) (<www.ypsa.org>) is a sustainable development organization operating in the Greater Chattogram Division (including the Chattogram Hill Tracts) and part of the Dhaka and Sylhet division, established in 1985, the International Youth Year. Since June 2018, YPSA has been implementing the project titled “Prevention and Response Activities Implementation on Counter Trafficking Issues” in both the host community and the Rohingya camps of Cox’s Bazar. This project is supported by the International Organization for Migration (IOM). YPSA is inviting competent candidates to apply for the following position.

Contract Duration : 4 months (September to December 2025); High possibility of contract extension

Job Responsibilities:

Procurement Management:

• Support Logistics/Procurement Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing procurement processes for goods, services, and works in line with organization procurement guidelines.

• • Develop and maintain vendor relationships, ensuring reliable supply chains that meet quality and ethical standards.

• Assists line manager for conducting market assessments and managing tender processes, including bid evaluation and contract negotiations.

• Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping to maintain audit readiness and compliance with donor and organizational requirements.

• Collaborate with program teams to identify procurement needs and develop/ensure specifications in order to procure the right items

• Ensure cost-effectiveness and value for money in all procurement of goods and services.

• Inventory and Warehouse Management

• Maintain accurate stock records of the project assets and regular program materials.

• Oversee storage, organization, and security of supplies.

• Conduct regular stock checks and reports (e.g., inventory audits).

• Compliance and Risk Management:

• Identify and mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions, fraud, and non-compliance.

• Support internal and external audits, ensuring timely responses to findings and recommendations.

• Strong and practical knowledge of VAT, Tax, Revenue Stamp Act, and relevant government rules and regulations.

• Solid understanding of donor compliance requirements, especially for UN-funded projects (e.g.IOM,).

• Familiarity with national and international audit standards and internal control mechanisms.

• Capacity to identify and mitigate financial and administrative risks.

• Communication and Coordination

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to liaise effectively with internal teams including program, finance and Admin Teams and Procurement Committee, UN counterparts, vendors, and government stakeholders.

• Forecast logistics needs of the project.

• Support emergency response with rapid mobilization of supplies.

• Logistics Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain proper documentation (delivery notes, purchase orders, waybills).

• Generate reports on procurement, inventory, etc.

• Ensure compliance with donor and internal audit requirements.
