∎ Strong experience with Linux (Ubuntu) Administration, Tomcat, Java application deployment and JVM performance tuning.
∎ Hands-on expertise with Docker, Portainer, and Docker Swarm.
∎ Proficiency in Ansible & Rundeck for automation and configuration management.
∎ Solid understanding of Zabbix and Grafana for monitoring and alerting.
∎ Experience with vSphere and virtualization technologies.
∎ Proven production experience with quick incident response and root cause analysis.
∎ Kubernetes, Postgres DB
∎ Experience with horizontal and vertical scaling of web applications.

∎ Candidate Profile:
∎ The ideal candidate is a reliable and level-headed Linux engineer who can respond swiftly to incidents, troubleshoot under pressure, and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders. You take initiative, understand system behavior under load, and act proactively to prevent outages.
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Provide Customer support for critical production Linux systems, including immediate resolution.
∎ Manage and troubleshoot Java applications, especially related to JVM settings (e.g., -Xmx, heap tuning).
∎ Diagnose issues such as application crashes and resolve via restarts, resource tuning, or configuration updates.
∎ Monitor and manage containerized deployments using Docker, Docker Swarm, and Portainer.
∎ Automate infrastructure and deployment tasks with Ansible & Rundeck.
∎ Continuously monitor system performance and alerts using Zabbix, Grafana, and related observability tools.
∎ Administer virtualized environments using VMware vSphere
∎ Collaborate with teams & Customers to ensure reliable and efficient infrastructure performance.
∎ Role Overview:
∎ We are seeking a skilled Linux System Engineer with strong Linux (Ubuntu) system administration background to join a German based e-commerce company with English Fluency (English fluency is a must). This role involves managing Java-based applications, containerized infrastructure, and monitoring systems with a strong focus on stability, scalability, and rapid incident response. The role is having shifting duty to cover 24/7 support with other team members.
