Experienced Linux Security Engineer

We’re a regional Cybersecurity Startup company, and we’re looking for multiple experienced Linux Security Engineer to help us secure and scale our product development.
This is not a checkbox role – we need someone who thrives in a fast-moving startup, loves digging deep into Linux and networking internals, and is excited to experiment with new technologies and agentic AI tools to automate security workflows.
You’ll be a key builder in our cybersecurity backbone, working across Linux systems, networking, security monitoring pipelines (Opensearch/ELK), and AI-driven automation.
What You’ll Do
• Linux & Infrastructure Security
o Harden, secure, and monitor Linux-based servers, containers, and
microservices.
o Optimize system performance while implementing security controls
(SELinux, cgroups, kernel tuning).
o Own access control, IAM policies, and secrets management.
• Networking & Security Monitoring
o Build and secure data pipelines with Opensearch, Elasticsearch,
Logstash, Filebeat, and Kibana.
o Deploy and tune IDS/IPS (Zeek, Suricata, Snort) for real-time traffic
inspection.
o Design resilient network monitoring and log aggregation systems.
• Security Automation (Agentic AI + Low-Code Tools)
o Use n8n, Zapier, Make, Bubble, and LLM-based tools to automate
security playbooks and response workflows.
o Experiment with agentic AI pipelines to enhance threat detection, log
analysis, and incident response.
o Integrate APIs across security tools for automated alerts, enrichment, and
remediation.
• Threat Research & Incident Response
o Research and test emerging Linux vulnerabilities and exploit techniques.
o Conduct security incident investigations, forensics, and root-cause
analysis.
o Proactively develop new detection rules and threat-hunting strategies.
• Build for Scale
o Design flexible, cloud-ready security solutions for rapid growth.
o Implement security monitoring in CI/CD pipelines.
o Collaborate closely with DevOps and product teams to embed security by
design.
What We’re Looking For
• Must-Have Skills
o Strong Linux administration and hardening experience (Ubuntu, Debian,
CentOS, RHEL).
o Deep networking knowledge (TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, VPNs, DNS).
o Experience with Opensearch, Elasticsearch, Logstash, Filebeat, and
Kibana for monitoring & detection.
o Strong scripting/automation skills (Bash, Python, Go).
o Research-driven mindset: you like digging into CVEs, exploits, and
security communities.
• Nice-to-Have Skills
o Hands-on with containers & Kubernetes security.
o Familiarity with Zeek/Suricata IDS, Wazuh, or Sigma rules.
o Comfortable with agentic AI tools (n8n, Zapier, Make, Bubble,
LangChain) to automate workflows.
o Startup experience: comfortable wearing multiple hats and learning fast.
