Additional Requirements:

• Experience: 3–5+ years in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure. 

Containerization & Orchestration: 

• Expert in Docker, Docker Compose, and Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, GKE, or on-prem K8s). 
• Experience with Helm, Kustomize, and Operators. 

CI/CD & Automation: 

• Hands-on with Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD, Tekton, or DroneCI. 
• Strong in Terraform, Ansible, or Pulumi. 

Open-Source Monitoring & Logging: 

• Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK Stack, Loki, Fluentd/Fluent Bit. 

Scripting & Programming: 

• Strong in Bash, Python, or Go for automation and tooling. 

Networking & Security: 

• Knowledge of service meshes (Istio, Linkerd), Ingress controllers (NGINX, Traefik), and K8s RBAC/security policies.  

Preferred Certifications (Nice to Have) 

• Kubernetes: CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator), CKAD (Application Developer), or CKS (Security Specialist). 
• Cloud: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or GCP Professional DevOps Engineer. 
• Security: CompTIA Security+, Kubernetes Security Specialist, or DevSecOps certifications.  

Soft Skills 

• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking. 
• Ability to work in a fast-paced agile environment. 
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills across Dev, Sec, and Ops teams. 

Must-Have Skills:

• Strong expertise in Kubernetes (K8s), Helm, Operators, and Service Mesh.
• Deep knowledge of Linux administration & scripting (Bash, Python, or Go).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, ArgoCD, FluxCD, or Jenkins).
• Expertise in public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Terraform/Ansible.
• Experience in container security and zero-trust architecture.

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with SIEM (Wazuh, Splunk, ELK, or Chronicle) and threat detection tools.
• Knowledge of API security, OAuth, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and service-to-service authentication.
• Familiarity with SOC operations, IDS/IPS, and threat intelligence platforms.
• Experience with serverless computing (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, Google Cloud Functions).

Responsibilities & Context:

About the Role 

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in open-source technologies, containerization, and cloud-native orchestration. This role involves designing, automating, and maintaining scalable and secure infrastructure using Docker, Kubernetes (K8s), and open-source CI/CD tools. 

You will work closely with development, security, and operations teams to ensure continuous integration, delivery, and reliability of applications in production environments.  

Key Responsibilities 

Infrastructure Automation & Orchestration 

• Design, build, and manage containerized applications using Docker and orchestrate with Kubernetes (K8s, Helm, Kustomize). 
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, or Pulumi. 
• Implement automated provisioning and scaling for high-availability environments. 

CI/CD Pipeline Development 

• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, ArgoCD, or Tekton. 
• Ensure secure and efficient software release management across environments (dev, staging, prod). 
• Integrate automated testing, security scans, and deployment approvals into pipelines. 

Monitoring, Logging & Performance Optimization 

• Implement monitoring and observability using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK Stack, Loki. 
• Tune system and container performance for high throughput and low latency workloads. 
• Configure log collection, analysis, and alerting for proactive issue detection. 

Security & Compliance (DevSecOps) 

• Enforce container security best practices (image scanning, runtime security, secrets management). 
• Integrate security tools (Trivy, Clair, Falco, Open Policy Agent) into CI/CD pipelines. 
• Ensure compliance with security benchmarks (CIS, NIST) for cloud-native infrastructure. 

Collaboration & Documentation 

• Work closely with developers to support microservices and cloud-native application deployment. 
• Document infrastructure, workflows, and operational best practices.
