Job Context
IDLC Finance PLC., the largest non-bank financial institution in Bangladesh, is seeking a Legal Officer, Litigation for their Legal Division to support the organization's Litigation related issues. The role will be to take all necessary initiative to complete prior formalities for filing suits against default customers and then filing suits in various courts and then rigorously monitoring the pending cases with a view to bring the judgment in favor of IDLC.
Job Description / Responsibility:
- Achieve the target of case filing
- Arrange to collect necessary deed/documents from Recovery and Operations teams
- Provide the necessary documents to the lawyer for filing cases for recovery of loan
- Checking draft legal notice/plaint & other petition to ensure necessary information inserted thereon
- Monitoring the cases timely with a view to bring judgment at the earliest
- Monitoring and conducting cases in both Judge Court as well as in Supreme Court of Bangladesh
- To visit law chamber regularly and thereby maintain good relationship with the lawyers
- Maintain good relationship with court officer/Judges
- Drive to achieve the target of case disposal
- Ensure the payment of lawyers & court fees
- To defend cases filed against IDLC & its employees
