Education:

4 years of Bachelor’s (Fazil)/ Master’s (Kamil) degree in Arabic/Islamic Studies/Economics from any reputed university.

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge on Shari’ah Risk Certification, Compliance/Statutory

• Thorough knowledge on Bangladesh Bank regulation, compliance, banking products/services

• Attention to detail with excellent judgement, analytical and problem solving skills

• Highly flexible with a strong commitment to deadlines with multitasking ability

• Solid understanding of audit concepts & techniques

• Strong presentation skills, proficient in writing/compiling quality reports

• Sound knowledge in Microsoft Office applications, and other relevant software systems

Behavioral Skills:

• Robust interpersonal skills and stakeholder management

• Proven ability to be proactive and work independently and as a part of a team

Job Purpose:

The primary responsibility of the role is to carry out effective Shari’ah audits as the team member under the supervision of the Head of Shari’ah Audit at the branches and head office divisions, departments, units, operation and core risk areas of the bank as per annual audit plan or as per instruction of Head of Shari’ah.

Job Responsibilities:

• Add value and improve Bank’s operations through objective oriented activities and consultancies

• Support the Bank to accomplish objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of Shari’ah Risk Management, control and governance processes

• Prepare report on the Shari’ah audit findings/facts uncovered during the course of Shari’ah audit and submit to the Head of Shari’ah Audit

• Assist the Head of Shari’ah Audit to follow-up with the auditee branch/division for post validation of audit findings and to ensure that observations are actively complied with and recurrence is prevented
