• Prior experience in cosmetics, skincare, FMCG, beauty, retail, or health productsector is highly preferred.

• Strong working knowledge of Bangladesh’s legal and regulatory environment (cosmeticlaws, import/export regulation, consumer protection, labor law, data privacy).

• Experience handling contracts, litigation, intellectual property, regulatory filings,compliance, and corporate governance.

• Excellent negotiation, drafting, communication, and interpersonal skills (English andBengali).

• Analytical thinking, business acumen, ability to translate legal constraints into business enabling solutions.

• High integrity, ethics, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.

• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and oversee external legal counsel whennecessary.

To support our growth, we seek a skilled and experienced Legal Manager to lead all legal, regulatory, and compliance functions.

Role Overview

As the Legal Manager, you will oversee and manage all legal, regulatory, compliance, and

corporate governance activities for Beautyology. You will report to the senior management

(CEO/MD) and provide legal guidance across all departments (procurement, marketing, supply

chain, HR, etc.). You will also play a critical role in mitigating legal risks, negotiating contracts,

and ensuring alignment with local and international laws applicable to skincare and cosmetics.

Key Responsibilities

• Contract Management & Negotiation

- Draft, review, negotiate, and manage contracts (supplier agreements, distribution

agreements, NDAs, service agreements, licensing, etc.).

- Ensure that all contracts protect the company’s interests and limit risks.

- Maintain a standard contract template library and approval workflow.

• Regulatory Compliance & Licensing

- Ensure compliance with cosmetics, skincare, drug & health product regulations in

Bangladesh (DGDA, BSTI, import/export regulation, etc.).

- Monitor changes in laws, rules, and regulations in Bangladesh and relevant export

markets; advise on impact and compliance.

- File and maintain necessary licenses, permits, registrations, and regulatory

submissions.

• Corporate Governance & Compliance

- Oversee corporate secretarial functions, board meetings, resolutions, shareholding

issues, etc.

- Ensure compliance with company laws, labor laws, intellectual property, competition law, data protection/privacy, advertising law, consumer protection, and trade regulations.- Design and implement internal policies (e.g. code of conduct, anti-corruption, whistleblower, conflict of interest).

• Dispute Resolution & Litigation

- Handle or oversee litigation, arbitration, claims, disputes, enforcement, and legal

proceedings.

- Liaise with external counsels, manage legal costs, and lead case strategy.

• Intellectual Property (IP) & Brand Protection

- Manage trademark registration, renewals, IP enforcement, anti-counterfeit measures,

and domain disputes.

-Monitor and act upon IP infringements.

• Risk Management & Advisory

- Identify and mitigate legal risks across business activities.

- Provide proactive legal advice to business units (marketing, procurement, sales,

operations).

- Conduct legal trainings/workshops for internal teams on legal compliance, contracts,

data privacy, etc.

• Team Leadership & Reporting

- Lead a small legal & compliance team (or coordinate with external counsels).

- Prepare legal risk assessments, dashboards, status reports, key metrics, and present to senior leadership.
